Adding Images/Videos
Members image and photo uploads Adding Links and adding Videos to your content at this site
By default you can include a single photo in your classifieds, Recipes, etc.... These photos will automatically be scaled on down to a nice size for you, However; they STILL will need to be in the Ball Park sized range allowed by the program or they will be rejected (if they are rejected you will need to re size them on down a bit and try again)...
Generally a photo in the 300k file size range will be fine. Images MUST only be in the common web image formats of either a .jpg, .png, or .gif formats. These formats and file size ranges are typical across the web at sites such as this one which allow members the ability to include images/photos at the site.
There is no reason to display photos any larger than 320x240 pixels in size within any postings you would need to make at this site.

By Default members of this site have access to the nice wysiwyg inline editor system
Members who can NOT follow our simple rules for posting WILL have this access removed!

The wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) inline editor allows you to easily add interesting content within your Classifieds, Forum postings and more such as inserting images/photos, Links to outside resources, insert Videos, and format your content professionally and attractively for great looking postings which do well in the major search engines for you.
We have a Video tutorial located in the CLASSIFIEDS menu drop down titled How To Video. Review it if you need some help. Basically here are the rules in a nutshell.
- We do NOT wish a member to break our page layout so you are limited to a 320 pixel in width sized image or less ONLY. The video shows you how to do this
- We do NOT wish a link you may add within your content to take a viewer away from our page with no way of returning to our site. Video shows you how to do this
- You are NOT allowed to upload images to the image manager UNLESS we have set up an account in the image manager for you to use for your photos/images. Image Manager accounts are created via Request to us using the PM system. Your image manager account will be the exact same folder name as your username (the name you use to login to this site)! If you navigate into the image manager and do NOT see your username listed, you are NOT authorized to use the image manager to upload images/photos! Abuse of this policy WILL result in your nice wysiwyg editor access rights REMOVED! IF on the other hand we have setup an account for you in the image manager, you would click on your Folder Name (same name as your login name) and that is where your images/photos would be uploaded into and managed from there!
- Access the Video Tutorial in the CLASSIFIEDS menu flyout to the How To Video page and follow directions on that page to review the video.
Members will NOT be able to upload images/photos at this site except for the Single Photo allowed by default in the classifieds, recipes menu, etc. The ability to Upload photos/pdf files, etc is limited solely to those members actively adding useful content to our site and then only upon their request. Generally this membership group will include our Forum Moderators, Article Columnist's, Official trained Ad Placers, and maybe others as time goes on.
Linking UP to an image located somewhere else on the Internet (maybe a photo at YOUR website or video at YouTube) is easy! We do NOT want it breaking our page layout (or we will remove the entire posting)... Here is how to proceed if you wish to Link UP to photos from outside sources.
First ANCHOR your cursor (click in the area in other words) where you wish the photo to be placed
Next Click on the little Tree looking icon above as seen in the screen shot.
You will come up with the following type screen below (we have filled it in already)
You can see from the above we are calling to the image image99.jpg which is located on our affordnet.com web site and have given it an Image description and a tiltle (you should also do so for your image so that the Blind or visually impaired may also utlilize that image somewhat).
Now this image is WAY TOO BIG as is to display on our site as it WILL BREAK our page layout and would have to be removed! SOOoooo What you can do is click on the Appearance Tab as you can see below
All you really simply need to do is to CHANGE ONE NUMBER above - The FIRST NUMBER (is the Width of the image)...
Changing the Width ONLY will automatically scale the images Height to the proper ratio FOR YOU!
Making the Width set to something such as: 180, 240, 320. Most images look very nice and good quality at 320 pixels in width.
In the screen shot below you can see I CHANGED the width of this image on down to 400 pixels in width
(this is from our webmasters site) WE allow up to a 320 pixel in width image/photo and NO LARGER than 320 pixels in width here at this site!
Failure to adhere to this simple rule WILL get your posting removed without notices!
Now to POST A VIDEO - The video you wish to include in ANY posting at this site will have to be located at a remote location such as the popular YouTube or other such service. If you have a video you wish to include already ON YouTube putting it into your posting is as simple as it gets
Navigate to your Video on YouTube (see our example below which we have picked).
Now from the above you will see we have selected the Text (code) from the Embed link to the video. Since you will be Embedding the video within your content (if you wish it to PLAY right from your posting) you need to use the Embed Code.. Select it, Copy it to your clipboard.
Next, you simply go to the posting you are working on at this site and click on the little HTML icon you see in the editor along the bottom right of the editor and well - PASTE the code you had copied to the Clipboard into your posting. Pretty EASY and quick to do.
Of course the above IS the actual video we refer to herein..
